Terms of use
The terms that apply when you use this website and ask us to pass your windscreen or auto-glass enquiry to an independent fitment business.
About these terms
These terms apply to your use of this website, operated by [CONFIRM: registered company name and registration number], trading as Windscreen Pretoria. By using the site or submitting an enquiry, you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.
What this website does
We pass enquiries from drivers who need auto-glass work to independent fitment businesses that cover their area. We do not fit, repair, supply or calibrate glass. When a fitment business contacts you, any quote, agreement, payment, insurance arrangement and warranty for the work is between you and that business.
We are not an agent of the fitment business or of you, and we are not a party to the agreement for the work. We are not responsible for the fitment business's work, advice, glass, calibration, prices, timing, conduct or compliance with laws, regulations or standards. [CONFIRM: attorney review of the disclosure and liability wording]
What we try to do
We aim to pass your enquiry to a fitment business that covers your suburb and does the type of work you describe. We cannot promise that a fitment business will be available, will contact you within a particular time, will have glass for your vehicle in stock, or will agree to do the work. If we cannot find a suitable fitment business, we will try to tell you.
[CONFIRM: whether sending an enquiry costs the driver anything, and how fitment businesses pay for enquiries, for disclosure here]
Your responsibilities
Give accurate information in your enquiry and only submit details that are yours or that you are entitled to share. Before you accept a quote, check which glass will be fitted and its safety-glass marking, whether calibration of any camera or sensor is included, the safe drive-away time, and what warranty the fitment business offers. If you are claiming on insurance, check your policy and your insurer's process before work starts.
Information on this website
Our guides and service pages are general information, written in good faith for Pretoria drivers. They are not professional advice for your specific vehicle. Whether a chip can be repaired, which glass suits your vehicle and whether calibration is needed must be decided by a fitter who has seen the vehicle. Where we describe a law, regulation or insurer's rule, check the current version with the source.
We do not publish prices. Any factor we describe is not a quote.
Limitation of liability
To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for any loss or damage arising from the work, advice, glass or conduct of a fitment business, from your reliance on general information on this site, or from the site being unavailable. Nothing in these terms limits any right you have under the Consumer Protection Act 68 of 2008 that cannot lawfully be limited. [CONFIRM: attorney review]
Using the website properly
Do not use the site or the enquiry form to send spam, false enquiries, other people's details without their permission, or anything unlawful or harmful. Do not try to break or overload the site, its security check or the enquiry endpoint. We may block enquiries that appear automated or abusive, and we may decline to pass on any enquiry.
The content on this site belongs to us or is used with permission. You may read it and share links to it, but you may not copy it in bulk or republish it as your own.
Complaints
Complaints about the work itself should go to the fitment business, because the agreement for the work is between you and them. If you are unhappy with how we handled your enquiry or your information, contact us at [CONFIRM: business contact email] and we will respond.
Privacy
We handle personal information as set out in our privacy policy.
Changes and governing law
We may update these terms; the current version is always on this page. These terms are governed by the law of the Republic of South Africa. Last updated: 12 October 2026.
